The season resumed this week in fine, hot weather. The First XI had a gritty win over Grammar thanks to an unbeaten partnership between Alex Gunn, 102 not out off 100 balls, and Arnav Gupta, 89 not out off 81 balls.
In a College derby between Colts div 2 Navy and Light, Will Hyson scored 81, then took 5/15.
In the other Colts div 2 match, Sachin Liyanage for Marist Blue fell agonizingly short of a ton, scoring 98 off 97 balls.
Archie Bourke, Stage 3 Midnight, scored a hat trick in his 4/10 off 3 overs.
Ben Callaway took 6/32 off 6 overs for Stage 3 Royal against Grammar. Also for Stage 3 Royal, new Marist player, Ethan Golder, scored 40 off 29 and took 3/3 off 2 overs. A great debut for the Club!
