Tuesday afternoon was extremely hot but the boys were raring to play Wests Fire. It was their first game against the team who consistently posted big totals. Harry won the toss and elected to bat. The Deakin outfield was looking good and the first batsmen in were ready to go.

Jack and Jackson were both on fire with great shot selction beating the fielders consistently. The partnership quickly accumulated runs. The rest of the team followed suit all contributing to the large total.

Wests couldn't find the same momentum as Marist Light whose batting and exceptional fielding and bowling performance saw the Marist Light take the win. The boys were all very excited when Jack made his first 50 for Marist and for the team this season! An outstanding performance by the entire team.
