Marist Light won the toss and decided to bat first. We got off to a shaky start losing 5/23 before Nico and LJ combined for a strong partnership. LJ was dismissed for a run-a-ball 16 trying to lift the run rate. Oliver joined Nicoto to steady the ship before Nico was dismissed for a well-made 26. Oliver, Matt, Xander and Christian batted out the overs, before being dismissed for 98 in the final over.

Matt and Henry combined for an early wicket with the ball. A big 2nd wicket partnership saw Tuggers pass 50 and it felt like we might finish early. Cue Christian Honan. Christian steamed in either side of the drinks break, taking five wickets - two caught behind by Isaac, one bowled and one LBW. His fifth wicket came courtesy of Hugo, who took a fantastic catch at backward square leg, and the boys were fired up. Xander returned to the attack with immediate success and when Captain Henry picked up two wickets himself, Tuggeranong were looking shaky at 9/88, still 11 runs short.

Ultimately, Marist Light was a few runs short and Tuggeranong limped over the line, but not before a big scare. CONGRATS to Christian, picking up the match ball for his 5-fer. All the boys should be proud of their performance. A win is not far away.
