Marist Aqua batted first, posting 8/115 in 18.3 overs, thanks to a blistering knock from Joseph Mason, who retired not out on 60 off 40 balls at a stunning strike rate of 150! He was well-supported by Sourav Karthik Nair, who stayed unbeaten on 27 off 30.
Chasing 116 for victory, Daramalan got off to a shaky start, losing wickets regularly. Despite a late fightback from Mihail Ishchenko (24 off 29), they could only manage 7/103 in 18.5 overs, falling short by 12 runs.
The Marist bowlers kept it tight, with Joseph Mason leading the attack, bagging 3/11 off 2.5 overs! Jack Tunningley (2/2 off 2) was deadly accurate, while Max Frizza and Moksh Shah chipped in with a wicket each. The fielding Was a highlight, with two great catches behind the wickets by Rory and Max.
