1 day: Marist Blue were up against Eastlake out at Deakin oval on Saturday after a soggy Friday night with the storms, which held up great after the wet weather. Blue won the toss and elected to bowl on a slow, wet outfield, where they were devastating with the ball and in the field, and managed to bowl out Eastlake for a mere 70 in the 24th over.

 

Everyone was on song, with good tight and straight bowling with 6 bowled out, with a pretty even spread of wicket-takers, with Noah, Ernest, Shamir, Billy, Ernest all taking wickets with Charlie Foley, taking two wickets for only one run, and Hunter (1-4) with all boys being economical. The boys were also great in the field with lots of pressure and an amazing catch including a running, diving, high-ball catch by our keeper Lachie Edwards after a top edge.

 

After Billy's effort in the T20, he was promoted to opener again, where he smashed 17 off 24 balls, Will O'brien came in and put on a very useful 10 runs off 11 balls, however the chocolates went to Charlie Foley who had a day out, and supported Billy at the top smashing 39 runs off a mere 25 balls including six 4's and a sensational 6 off his legs to quickly get the total in only 9.5 overs. Well done boys.
