This Saturday Marist Royal took on Yerrabi Diamond at the Mint Oval. Marist lost the toss and had a bowl first with Lofty claiming 3 wickets in the first couple overs bowling in great partnership with Darc to give a shakey start to Yerrabi's morning. Riley and Haz combined to keep the wickets coming and cause huge problems for the Yerrabi boys. Uvi and Macca were next on to bowl and wickets just kept tumbling. A bit of a fightback caused a delay in getting the last couple wickets but Smeds and Efrem wrapped that up pretty quickly. Marist were very confident going in to bat with Haz and Macca starting quite well but then the first wicket fell. From there wickets were falling like dominoes and soon Marist Royal saw themselves 5/35 with 3 wickets in hand. However, resilience and bravery from Efrem and Macca saved the Marist Royal innings and the game for the boys. Macca retired playing a fighting knock and Efrem showcased his 360 batting skills with an unsuccessful ramp shot. Uvi went out and hit the winning runs which saw an Incredible fightback and courageous effort from the lads. Bowling was tight and encouragement was up again which was great to see.
