Slate's last game of the season was played at Duffy oval - with WCMCC winning the toss and batting first. Their opening batsmen of Flynn Pike, Hamza and Mitchell K started in a hurry making 26, 11 and 36 with the latter remaining retired not out and returning to bat as Slate bowlers kept the line and the fielding tight. At the half way mark MCWCC were 77-1 and looking at a big score but Slate had different plans and managed to curtail them to 119 all out with everyone getting in on the wickets. Special mention to Leroy Craven to managed to snag a double wicket maiden in the 12th over.

Slate batting innings started slowly as WCMCC bowled a good line and Slate lost their first wicket in the first over. Henry Platt and Christian Rego stymied the innings and at the 10 over mark, Slate were 50-4 needing another 70 runs. Christian retired and Henry continuing to pick runs with a boundaries in each over. Joshua and Henry maintained an average of 8/9 runs an over until Joshua was caught bringing Lachlan Medlin to the crease who continued at the same pace.

Slate needed 10 runs in the last two overs that Ari, Leroy and Christian (who returned to bat) with three balls to spare.

An amazing all round team effort by Slate acknowledging the hardwork that Coach Liam and Colin have put into making this a successful season for the team.
