End of Season Club Awards 

Each season the Club awards players and members that have made a significant contribution to cricket and the Club.  Club Awards are selected or endorsed by the Club President.  Relevant Committee Members, Coaches or College staff are involved in the selection.

Club members are invited to provide nominations for the President award or Life Membership.

Only coaches or managers are to provide nominations for player awards.

 

Nominations for Club Awards must be submitted before Monday of the Canberra Day long weekend, or sooner, allowing the Committee, College staff and President time to review the nominations.

This deadline allows appropriate decision making and engraving to take place prior to Presentation Night.

MEMBER AWARDS

President's Award - The Club President awards a club member for outstanding service to Marist Cricket during the season - nominations are welcomed.


Life Membership - Given after special consideration for outstanding service to Marist Cricket over an extended period of time - nominations are welcomed but not necessarily awarded.



PLAYER AWARDS

-nomination by Coach or Manager only

Senior Cricketer of the Year - A Colts player who's exceeded in performance and impact, sportsmanship, commitment and/or service. Typically a Division 1 player but does not have to be.


Junior Cricketer of the Year - A Stage 1-3a High School player who's exceeded in performance and impact, sportsmanship, commitment and/or service. Typically a Division 1 player but does not have to be.


Junior School Cricketer of the Year - A Junior School player who's exceeded in performance and impact, sportsmanship, commitment and/or service. Typically a Division 1 player but does not have to be.


Emerging Batting award - A player who has shown outstanding batting performance over the season. Typically awarded to a non-Division 1 player.


Emerging Bowling award - A player who has shown outstanding batting performance over the season. Typically awarded to a non-Division 1 player.


Spirit of Cricket award - A player who has shown strong leadership in sportsmanship, fair play and respect encompassing the Marist College values.
