On a cool and cloudy morning, Marist Blue and Ginninderra Tigers met at Marist for a round 8 clash. The captains Will and Darcy won the toss and chose to bowl first. The bowling performance by the whole team was outstanding with Ben, Finley, Yash and Sam all taking a wicket each. In the field, Yash and Mitch both took great catches and Mitch, Sam, Will and Darcy all showed their impressive arm strength and accuracy with some exciting runouts.

When Marist went into bat, our two openers started very well with Darcy top-scoring with 23 off 30 and Shourik unfortunately needing to retire after being hit in the hand. A great example of good sportsmanship came in the second innings when a Ginninderra player was injured and Charles put his hand up to fill the space in the field for them. Mitch had a great innings with the bat scoring 15 off 15 including three fours. In the last few overs with 6 runs to get, Ben and Finley finished the job and got Marist ahead of the target. A big thanks to Rachel for stepping in and coaching us on Saturday.
