It was a cold start to the morning in Charnwood.

Paddy and Yash won the toss for Marist Blue and decided to bowl.

Ben opened the bowling with some good form, with only 3 off the first over. In the 3rd over Ben claimed the first wicket with a great run out. Then Shariq bowled a great ball that hit the top of off-stump, just like we were told to do in training.

The next few overs they kept scoring and we just couldn't get them out, until......... Sam! He took a great catch that went over the bowler's head at the speed of a rocket and he grabbed it cleanly out of the air. Then Yash bowled their next batter and it went straight through the guy's stumps. We were on a team hat trick, but could we pull it off?.... No.

We had them all out for 95.

Paddy and Sam came out to open and got off to a steady start before Sam got pulled off for metal spikes and Mitch had to replace him.

Paddy made 15; Sam was unbeaten on 35 and the rest of the team finished it off in 16 overs with some solid batting.
