It was the first game back after the holidays, and everyone was pumped for a game of cricket. We lost the toss and the other team chose to bowl first. Our first batters went in ready to have some fun. The weather was edging towards 40, but that didn't stop our batters, who got amazing scores. With Darcy Coyle leading the pack with an extraordinary 50(38). Other top scorers were Finley Chares 18 (15) and Mitch Howard 15 (23). The boys finished batting with their highest batting score this seaon 180, confident that they could field well and stop the other team's batters. As the boys went into bowl and field they were excited to get some wickets. The fielding was great with Sam taking a catch and Finley taking two. The bowling was no different with great scores of Flynn Walters 2/9 (2), Shourik Gollapalli 1/8 (2) and Mitch Howared 1/9 (2). In the end the boys came out on top and had a great time. Thanks also to the parents for the extra ice provided on the scorching hot day.
