The Marist Sixers S1 took to the field in a spirited 20-over clash, delivering a strong team performance highlighted by teamwork, patience at the crease, and moments of standout bowling.

 

 

Batting Highlights

 

The Sixers posted 0/128 from 20 overs — a rare innings without a wicket lost. Rotating the strike and retiring as per format, the batters showed good discipline.

 

Top Performers with the bat:

•Henry Woods was the star, smashing 30 off just 16 balls at a rapid 187.50 strike rate.

•Cruz Ayamiseba finished unbeaten on 11 (16)*.

•Supporting efforts from Thomas Szivek (8), Ryder McDougall (7), Frederick Atkin (5), and Nathan Du (4) kept the score ticking.

 

A large portion of the total came from 63 extras, showing the pressure applied by our batters throughout.

 

 

With the Ball

 

Defending 128, the Sixers put in a solid bowling effort but couldn’t break the partnership, with the opposition reaching 0/144.

 

Still, there were excellent contributions:

•Henry Woods struck with a wicket, conceding just 7 runs from 2 overs.

•Cruz Ayamiseba was effective with 1/15 from his 3 overs, including a maiden.

•Ryder McDougall also picked up a wicket, finishing with 1/27.

 

Tidy overs too from Frederick Atkin (2-0-4-0) and Nathan Du (4-0-23-0) kept the game alive.
