Given the early Sunday morning start, parents were armed with coffee and the boys showed a rare abundance of energy for that time of the day.

 

The boys' enjoyment for the season to start was straight away visible, with many of the boys who had never played together already a sense of mateship could be seen across the team. With three maiden half centuries during the match, a great knock by all three, and Eamon on a hat-trick that just missed out, the boys had plenty to celebrate.

With a guaranteed victory (even after some very untidy bowling), the boys went into the final over with our wicketkeeper and 7 fielders stacked in the slips, pure theatrics and camaraderie from the boys as they celebrated an enjoyable day out.
