The Marist Light Stage 2 boys won the toss and elected to bowl. They were switched on from the first ball, taking 2 wickets in the first 2 overs. Lewis Fillbrook and Finn Furner led the way with 2 wickets each. Julian Baseby and Harry McEwan kept things tight with economical spells. The fielding was equally impressive, with some outstanding catches across the team.

They had a hard task ahead of them, chasing a challenging target of 119 runs. The boys showed plenty of determination and composure with the bat, finishing on 120 runs to secure a fantastic four-wicket victory. With the game going down to the wire, to the second last over. Lachie Dean was the star batter, retiring not out after 30 balls, and returning to score a total of 35 not out off 44 balls. Lachie was well supported with important contributions throughout the order, and the boys kept working towards the target right to the end.
