Game Summary:

Midnight limped to the starting blocks after 2 team mates went down Friday evening due to illness and injury (sending speedy recovery wishes) - thanks to Ronny for filling in so we could play with 10 for another anticipated tough contest against a top 4 team on the ladder.

We started positively with tight variety bowling and commitment in the field taking some early wickets, keeping the Tigers initially somewhat contained in their batting innings. 6 team members secured wickets with 5 rattling the stumps and 2 achieved in partnership with teammates' catches - Finn took a tricky screamer (on the run)! After the drinks' break the Tigers started to build momentum & up their run rate to achieve what Midnight knew was going to be a challenging target to chase, although less than their many 200+ innings this season!

The Tigers came with clear intent bowling excellent line and length making it hard for Midnight to start well - we lost several wickets early. Several team mates did their best to steady the ship, 3 achieving double figures. Special mention to Thomas for stepping up to the crease so we could continue the chase given he has battled injury and pain all season.

Midnight's team spirit, sporstmanship and positivity needs to be applauded despite landing on the wrong side of the scorecard majority of games this season - significant improvement evident across the board. Big thank you to our awesome Coaches (Simon & Liam) and our parents & families for their guidance, support and cheering on the sidelines. Let's go team as we seek to put our best foot forward for the remaining 2 games!
