In just their second game together S2 Midnight had a tough match in cold conditions on Sunday morning. The odds weren't in our favour this week starting the game a player down, we lost another to illness 30 minutes into the match.

Bowling first they made an early breakthrough in the opening over, however struggled to capitalise from there. A few missed wicket taking opportunities, dropped catches, overthrows and misfields costing them. Yash Reddy Karnati was a stand out with 3 wickets and an excellent catch.

WCMCC posted a total of 119, a seemingly achievable target for Marist having posted a very respectable 143 the previous week. Our openers got off to a great start seeing out the new ball however a string of wickets, including 3 run-outs didn't help our boys. The team put up a great fight but were beaten by the better team on the day. Plenty to work on at training this week and already looking forward to the match at Bungendore in Round 3.
