Marist Navy entered this contest with clear intent, aware that discipline and execution would dictate the afternoon, and there place within the T20 final.

Batting first, Navy made a solid start with the bat and building early momentum. The opening partnership laid a stable platform before the first wicket fell at 52, with Alastair making a composed 31 from 30 to structure the innings and Alex showing patience and control at the top of the order, scroing 10. Samrath added momentum with a powerful 15, while Nirodha contributed as Marist attempted to apply pressure.

Despite these efforts, wickets continued to fall at crucial moments, shifting responsibility to the lower order. Flynn, Jackson, and Ethan worked diligently under pressure, before William closed the innings unbeaten on 7 alongside Harrison, ensuring Navy used all 20 overs to post 103 for 9.

In the field, Marists struck early through a sharp run-out from Flynn, setting an immediate competitive tone. Flynn also led with the ball, delivering an energetic spell of 3 overs for 20. Jackson maintained control through disciplined lines, while Ethan was outstanding in his economy, conceding just 11 from two overs. William and Harrison opened the bowling well, carrying extended spells with consistency, supported by Alex in the dying stages.

Although pressure was applied in phases, Marist were unable to produce the decisive breakthroughs required to regain control. Nevertheless, the performance was defined by effort, accountability, and a refusal to drop standards. With sharper execution at key moments, particularly running hard and in converting pressure into wickets, Marist Navy are well positioned to turn our competitiveness into results.
