Navy, once again, won the toss and chose to bat. Runs were tricky to get facing the Eastlake bowlers. The boys did well facing the opposition. There were some dicey moments out in the crease with some tight, almost run out calls. The boys needing to communicate with each other, especially when trying to sneak a single. A great effort by Freddie and Evan as they worked well together, acheiveing a great result and adding runs to the total with their partnership.

The boys were keen to hit the field for the next innings. Some tight bowling and good fielding to start kept the run rate down at the beginning. Unfortunately, Navy let the innings get the better of them, allowing some mishaps in the field to occur, creating unnecessary runs from over throws. A special mention for effort in the field goes to Freddie for a great spell with the ball. Also, Xander for the most spectacular run out. Directly hitting the stumps from mid field was a sight to see and created a lot of excitement amongst the team.
