It was a solid first game back for Royals in very hot temperatures today. The boys did particulalry well in the field with 2 great catches from Sam and Lewis, and direct hit run outs from Sam and Henry. The bowling stand outs this week were from Ethan with 2/8, Lewis with 2/14 and Sam 1/8.

The boys were under pressure in their batting innings, chasing the Wests Looming Lions 120 runs. Running between the wickets was excellent despite the heat climbing to 32 degrees as the game progressed. Almost all the boys made double figures, with Connor, Liam and Henry all hitting 23 runs.

On the whole the boys were consistent and came home with a well earned win. Lewis was double awarded at the end of the match achieving his 100 runs and 10 wickets for the season. The multiple zooper doopers were a very welcomed relief. Thanks especially to the coaches and drink runners on a very hot day.
