Marist Slate lost in a tight game with Marist Teal chasing them down with only 1 wicket in hand and 8 balls to spare.

With Slate going into bat first, the runs were proving hard to come by but the boys posted a respectable total. Lachie Dean contributed runs at the top of the order and some more at the end of the innings, while Stirlie Ardlie had his finest knock for the season brining the team home. Lachlan Power also added a handy 8 runs.

Slate began their defence with some tight bowling, restricting Teal's run rate and putting pressure on Teal to take risks. Slate's fielding was excellent in restructing runs and also executing 4 run outs, to Stirling Ardlie, Lachlan Dean, Lachie Lawrence and Flynn McDonald. Matthew Cutting took 2 wickets in 2 balls in the 18th over before a run-out the same over had the game on a knife-edge before Teal got over the line the next over.
