Marist Slate was sent into the field and responded with a wicket first ball to Lachlan Dean. The boys picked up another wicket before the opposition increased their run rate. The boys toiled away and were rewarded with wickets, including a great catch from Stirling Ardie in his first game back from Injury.

When Marist Slate went into bat it was difficult to score runs from some tight bowling. Lachie Lawrence had an excellent innings coming in at the end and he was well supported by both Hugo Green and Andrew Szivek who defended well, absorbing a lot of pressure from the bowlers. Alexander Hardy also had a nicely constructed innings.
