It was a perfect day for another exciting cricket game, this time against Marist Stars. Marist Thunder won the toss and elected to bowl. There were many key moments and standout performances throughout the game, both with the bat and ball.

In the first innings, Marist Thunder got off with an impressive start, with Jasper and Lachlan both taking three wickets each. The team fielded well, with a spectacular diving catch by Lachlan (caught and bowled) and brilliant direct-hit run-outs by Laurence, Sam and Ben. The cohesive teamwork limited the Marist Stars to only 85 runs at the end of their batting innings.

The second innings began with a bang, with Jonathan scoring four runs off the first ball, attaining a total of 25 runs with three 4s and a 6. The standout batter was Jasper who scored 29 runs, which included four 4s, on a challenging slow grassy cricket oval. Zyan’s on-field performance continues to grow from strength to strength. In this game, he recorded his personal best in both batting and bowling.

Overall, it was a fantastic game with excellent team effort. Marist Thunder won with an impressive 92-run lead. The team celebrated individual bowling and batting milestones achieved by Jasper, Rhys and Laurence.
