Marist won the toss and chose to bat under slightly cloudy skies, a brave and positive decision that set the tone for a thrilling contest ahead.
Bowling & Fielding Highlights
Milan bowled superbly, claiming 2 key wickets and maintaining tight lines throughout his spell. His consistency-built pressure and helped swing the game early in our favour.
Alexander was outstanding as wicketkeeper, taking 3 brilliant catches and showing excellent anticipation, focus, and safe hands behind the stumps.
The fielding unit was sharp and full of energy — players backed up well, dove to save boundaries, and chased every ball with determination.
Batting Highlights
Josh Katz played a confident, attacking innings — 15 runs off 20 balls. He showed great intent, rotated the strike smartly, and led from the front with both bat and gloves. His wicketkeeping was top-class, with clean takes, sharp stops, and a calm presence.
Ranbeer Singh provided vital stability, remaining not out on 15 runs from 41 balls. His composure and solid defence anchored the innings during crucial moments.
· As light rain began to drizzle, tension built with every delivery, and the energy on the field was electric. The final three overs were simply breathtaking! With 6 runs needed to win and the last wicket in hand, every Marist player was on their feet, cheering for the batters. Despite the slippery conditions, the boys held their nerve beautifully, keeping wickets intact and guiding the team to a memorable victory filled with heart, focus, and true Marist spirit.
Maxwell Feeney showed great discipline, defending tough deliveries and sticking to the team plan of protecting wickets till the end a crucial contribution in the tense finish.
