It was a sunny day in Deakin with patches of rain. Marist Blue vs Marist Navy, Marist Blue bowled first. Great bowling by the boys and great batting by Navy. Blue got a couple of wickets including Finley, Ben and Charles. Some great fielding from the boys including lots of accurate throws from Ben.

Great keeping from Mitch and Darcy, also from Sam putting his body on the line to stop the ball. Charles had great talk in the field. Will, great efforts at trying to catch the ball, Shourik, some great chases to the ball. Yash, also great at not letting the ball past him.

After the 30 overs it was now time for Blue to bat. Openers were Darcy and Sam with some great shots from Darcy including 3x 4’s and one six, hitting a total 22 runs. Some really great bowling and fielding from Navy. When Ben went in to bat he got hit in his back and came off for some treatment, but still wanted to go back in and made us proud with his batting performance, hitting 21 runs. Also some amazing batting action from Mitch and Shourik with facing their 30 balls. Mitch hitting an awesome 29 runs. A great game played, just unlucky for Marist Blue with an ending score of 130 runs to 177 runs with Navy winning the match.
