Marist Light, fresh off a big win, were nervous. They lost the toss and were sent into bat on a very wet pitch. The boys got through their batting innings with a small but defendable total.

The fielding innings was one of the best the boys put together. The boys wanted the win against the Eddie's team, it wasn't just ladder points up for grabs but bragging rights in the Marist - Eddie's rivalry! Bowlers were consistent, catches were taken and throws were accurate - at 25 overs Eddie's were 5/90 and it seemed enivitable that Eddie's would win. The boys did not give up, with Jackson's caught and bowled wicket and both Harry and Jack running out players, they stopped Eddie's before they made the required runs. Cricket is a funny game sometimes!
