Marist Light won the toss and sent in the openers to bat. It was a shaky start and they were 2/37 after 10 overs but Noah Maguire scored 48 of 45 and dragged Marist back in the game. More wickets fell but then Will Spencer came in. He scored 43 of 31 not out and built a 38 run 7 wicket partnership with Liam Morrison (15 of 14) and helped Light score 168 by the end of the innings. The opening bowlers William Loft and William Spencer bowled tight and had Weston Creek for 3/18 at the 5th over. An incredible performance by Will Loft who ended up taking 5/23 of 6 overs with a 3.83 economy. Lachie Field and Noah Maguire kept the pressure high but Weston Creek batted well and won with 2 overs to go.
