Sat December 13 vs Marist Navy

The boys lost the toss against their school rivals and were sent into bat. Arjun and Will put on a great 1st wicket partnership scoring 58 runs together. Arjun top scoring with a great 36 of 24. Handy scores from Wilson (22), Steve (15) and Noah (15) helped Light get to a big score of 123 at the 15 over break. Though the boys had many runs they had only 3 wickets in the shed. Ernest (29 runs) and Sourav (10 runs) builta good partnership of 36 runs after the break, before the two eventually fell. With only one wicket, Will and Vivaan had to preserve their wicket and try bat out the innings and that is what they did scoring runs along the way. Together they put on an extra 33 runs. After setting the big total of 204, Vivaan had the ball in hand and took a great 1st over wicket, and the team followed getting Marist Navy to 4 for 85 at drinks including a great run out by Arjun. In the second half of the innings the boys took another 3 wickets and held the rivals to a total score of 161 runs after the 30 overs with big roles played by Vivaan’s 3 for 9 and Ernest 2 for 21. Ending the day with a 41 run win to end the year.
