In a terrific display of sportsmanship and team spirit, Marist Navy took on Marist Blue in an entertaining intra-school clash.

Marist Navy batted first and put together a solid total, with contributions right through the order. It was great to see several players showing confidence and retiring after reaching their 30-ball limits — a reflection of disciplined and positive batting. Rain threatened to interrupt the match, but the players pressed on with focus and energy.

Chasing 178, Marist Blue faced a determined bowling attack. The highlight of the innings came immediately, with Will Costigan striking on the very first ball to set the tone. While the bowling effort was at times inconsistent, with a few too many extras, the boys showed resilience and teamwork to keep the pressure on. Their persistence paid off, as they wrapped up the final wicket in the 25th over to secure a strong team performance.

A great contest all round, played in the right spirit, with plenty of positives for both sides moving forward.
