Marist College Oval 3, Friday 05 December 2025 – Despite the final scoreline, the Marist Sixers - S1 displayed commendable resilience and fighting spirit in their Round 8 T20 encounter against Marist Stars - S1. The Sixers, though ultimately defeated, battled hard against a relentless batting side that benefited immensely from a historically high count of opposition extras.

The final score saw the Marist Stars post a huge total of 162 runs to the Sixers' 114. However, a closer look at the Marist Stars' innings highlights the Sixers' persistence in the face of immense pressure

🌟 Sixers Bowlers Show Glimmers of Promise

The Sixers' bowling unit showed moments of brilliance that prevented the Stars' total from ballooning even further. Early wickets were crucial in stemming the flow of run-scoring from the bat, keeping the home side's target within reach for a substantial period.

Thomas Szivek and Henry Woods stood out in the early middle overs. Szivek claimed a vital wicket in the 2nd over, bowling out a top-order batter, and Woods later claimed the wicket of juan jacob georgein the 9th over, halting a dangerous partnership.

While the scorecard was inflated by an unusual amount of no-balls and wides conceded across the attack, the Sixers' bowlers continued to apply pressure by forcing dot balls and capitalizing on rare run-out opportunities.
