The team played very well again today against a strong opponent, posting their highest score of the season after a rocky start losing 2 wickets in 2 balls. Congratulations to Dimitri on another 50 (including smashing the hat trick ball for six), along with excellent contributions from Ned (who is fast becoming our Mr Consistent), Chip, Tom and Will. The boys played some truly lovely shots all around the ground, showing patience, precision and power with the bat.

An excellent two-wicket first over from Harvey set the tone for our bowling. Aaarv, filling in for the team this week, made an important contribution with two wickets, while it was great to see Chip pick up a wicket after bowling well without reward of late. The fielding standards set today were also high - a run-out, great catches, determined chases and stops on the boundary and all-round encouragement.

Finally, while the game finished early due to rain (thanks to Jen for the scoring assistance to turn on the DLS) it was delightful to see the boys enjoying themselves with the other team in the clubrooms by playng some impromptu dressing-room cricket while we tried to wait out the weather.
