From Andy Rees

Marist Cricket Families,

Watching and reading about MCCCC matches has been as enjoyable as ever this week. A shout out to the 5 boys who filled in (very successfully) for Colts Div 2 on Sunday, and all the other boys filling in across our grades. Its a big contribution and is much appreciated by the teams which get to play their match because of our super subs.

There's plenty going on with our club as the year comes to a close. A big thanks to our First XI and their crew for providing highly entertaining cricket matches so far at Carnival. Nothing better than sneaking out of the office to watch some cricket on your phone. Matty Hayden - what a legend. (Did anyone else got the Matty Hayden Cookbook for Christmas back in 1998? It still tastes great). More importantly, the boys are doing themselves proud as they represent club and school, and we wish them more great moments on the field for the rest of the week.

Quite an impressive list of cricketers farewelled from Marist College in the graduating class this week. We wish those boys every success into the future and hope they can stay connected with the club and with cricket.

A couple of raffles are coming up - one to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation before Christmas (which is tied to our club Pink Tests on 9 December). Another to raise funds for our club in the new year. Keep an eye on socials and thanks for coordinating Al R. Thanks to our awesome information and social media teams for the photos and stories being shared and thank you to all our volunteers making such great efforts at training and at matches. Good luck this weekend to all our players.
