Friday night delivered an absolute nail-biter as Marist Thunder took on Marist Heat in a thrilling Stage 1 matchup. The game stayed close from the first ball to the very last, with both teams showing fantastic spirit and sportsmanship. In the end, Marist Heat claimed the win by just one run, 109 to 108.

It was a warm, beautiful evening - perfect cricket weather. During the break, the boys enjoyed a delicious dinner of sausage rolls and pasties before breaking into a round of French cricket.

On the field, the standard of play was impressive. The whole team fielded beautifully, with plenty of standout moments, including Jonno’s brilliant run out, firing a long-distance throw that hit the stumps cleanly and dismissed the batter. The boys shared plenty of celebratory group hugs, and the team spirit on display was wonderful to watch.

Well done to all the boys from both teams for their enthusiasm, teamwork and incredibly supportive attitude. A brilliant night of cricket with great vibes all around!
