Game day began with a fitting tribute for Ben Austin as the boys paused for a minutes silence.

The game soon got underway with strong batting displays across the Royal team and big improvements in running between the wickets and decisive calling. The straight drives and cover drives on display were a pleasure for all to witness! The boys soon amassed a formidable total of 184 runs and went into the break with their heads held high.

In contrast, the bowling innings did not start as well for the team with the Condors reaching 100 runs off the first 10 overseas. The next ten overs showed what this team is capable of as the boys put on a bowling and fielding display for the ages to restrict the Condors to 132 (including a hat-trick ball for Connor).

The game was a test of the teams resilience and showed effort, determination and encouragement when it mattered most.
