Started off when Western Creek won the toss and elected to bowl first. We were sent out to bat and we’re setting a total. Openers, Rupert and Cam, got us off to a good start, with Cam getting one boundary and a solid 10 runs but  unfortunately got out. On the other hand, Rupert got a strong 18 runs with two boundaries and set us up for a very good innings, with Rupert retiring.

Then Arjun came in and showed everyone what he can do, with Arjun getting 31 off 30 to retire with four boundaries. He put us in a solid position after a few batsmen. Flynn came in and he stopped the wicket falling, with himself getting just 11 runs off 30 balls, but I’ll tell you it helped the boys stop the wickets falling, and Araav had a blinder with 25 off 26 that gave us a total of 131.

And just before the end of innings, Rupert, Flynn and Arjun all came back in. So the boys went into bowl with the mindset don’t worry about our score, and Flynn took an early wicket in the first two overs with the caught and bowled. And just four overs later, Clyde finds a nick over a key bat and it goes right to Charlie as the keeper, and after that the boys continued to put effort in.

And then Rupert came in to bowl and found at least three misses, and two of the nicks were caught behind, but after that the boys couldn’t find any more wickets until after the drinks break, when it was getting crucial with the storm looking to come. The boys hurried up and Charlie came in with his spin and bowled high and loopy, which caused a wicket on a batsman who was about to retire.

Unfortunately, the boys did not get the result they wanted, but they kept fighting and they never gave up.
