Marist was sent in to bat and got off to a rocky start, loosing some early wickets. Lachlan Dean played a wonderful innings across 2 stints at the crease to reach 46 and was supported by Zander Hardy and Matthew Cutting, each scoring 6 runs but importantly, facing a lot of balls while Lachlan piled on the runs.

In the field, Marist Slate got their first stumping of the season thanks to some great keeping from Lachlan Lawrence off Flynn McDonald's bowling. There was also 2 caught and bowled dismissals from both Hugo Green and Lachlan Dean. Unfortunately Weston Creek were able to chase down the runs faily comfortable, despite 3 late wickets.
